Spectroscopy and Spectroscope question on certain elements.?

You can test them all through experiment. Each group on the periodic table emits a different color. I took chemistry three years ago, so I don't really remember. Sorry! Try asking this question in the Chemistry section, I am sure you will get more informative answers.
