How reliable are PS3 slims?

I'm hopefully getting a new PS3 for Christmas and I was just wondering how reliable the slims are. My old (second-hand) 60GB PS3 that was backwards-compatible with PS2 games 'ylod'ed almost a year ago so I'm quite wary. If anyone could give me a rough idea of the reliability of the new slim model I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! :D
