Perm my hair?

am a guy that wants to get a perm. I have been told women love men with curly hair. my hair is about 3" LONG and i really want distinct curls any suggestion. I am pretty set on going thru with this. i want curls that look about 1/2 in size when finished what size rods to use. I have been looking for some pictures so i can tell my hair stylist what. Please help with rod sizes and what kinda perm so i don't look like i i don't have a clue. I tried gray and white, but iwant a tighter curl
